About Guitar Idol III

Welcome to Guitar Idol III! Since 2008 the Guitar Idol competition has become known as the coolest, and largest guitar competition on the planet.

The success of Guitar Idol 2008 was unprecedented with more than 250,000 absolute unique visitors and contestants from all over the world: it was the biggest and best online international guitar competition ever staged. 12 Finalists from flew into the UK to compete in a stunning live final at the London International Music Show 2008, with the winner opening for Shred legend Yngwie J Malmsteen. Guitar Idol 2009 was bigger – far bigger! Over 1 million absolute unique visitors watched the heats and 160,000 people registered to vote for the online finalists, and the Live Show Finalists came from South America, Europe and the Far East. The legendary Steve Vai even chose one lucky contestant to sign to Favored Nations!

The truly global reach of the Guitar Idol competition has astounded everyone, culminating in some excellent global TV, Radio and newspaper coverage from countries including the USA, Canada, UK, Pakistan, Chile, Romania, Hungary, Thailand, Australia and Guatemala to name but a few.

Guitar Idol III will build upon this success by expanding to cover both 2010 and 2011: this will provide an even bigger platform for contestants to launch their careers and guitar fans around the world to be part of the biggest guitar talent search and competiton on Earth.

How to Vote

To vote either log in or sign up, once your logged in then follow these simple steps:

1. Select your top 3 favourite guitarists

2. Assign each guitarists a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place vote by clicking on the vote button. Please note you are only allowed 3 votes so choose carefully.

3. Depending on which vote placed your remaining voting options will be displayed when voting for your next entrant.

In addition, you can also like a guitarist - you may "like" the video as many times as you like, however you can only like the same video once in a 24 hour period.

All votes and likes are counted towards the end results so get voting!
